All our chairs are made from Ash wood, from sustainably managed forests, because of its great strength, and the beauty of the grain.

Any occasional small irregularities, knots, inclusions etc. in the wood may be incorporated
to add character and individuality where they will not affect the strength of the chair. Each order is individually made to ensure our personal attention to detail.




The Sit/Kneel is made in two types: a basic chair (as shown above) and a chair with a bracket which allows the attachment of the Table, Tapestry Frame or Quilting ring (as shown left).
The bracket is glued in below the knee pad while the chair is being made and cannot be added later to a chair we have already completed.

The upright pillar attaches to the bracket by means of a knob and screw fitting which can be removed easily. This allows the chair with bracket to be used without the attachments.






The Sit/Kneel Chair and attached Table / Drawing Board has many uses. Great for a Laptop, can be used as a Seated Easel for painting
Supported by the Ash pillar and slides, the table can be raised or lowered and tilted at different angles according to what it is being used for. It can be perfectly level for Pizzas in front of the television or tilted up at a steep angle for use as a music stand or for painting, drawing or calligraphy. If required we can customize the table with extra long slide supports to bring the working area up to eye level for painters / illustrators who like to work looking straight in front of them with straight back. We have over the years sold many to professional artists and illustrators. The table top is laminated and faced with quality wood veneer.
